From January 9 to 11, Consulate-General of Japan in Jeddah and Art Jameel for Arts will co-organize the second edition of “Hayy Matsuri”, a large cultural festival promoting and celebrating Japanese and Saudi tradition, culture, and arts in a contemporary and interactive way.

This year Japanese music project Electronicos Fantasticos! and sound artist Daisuke Tanabe are invited from Japan and will present exclusive performance in the festival. They also will be co- staring with Saudi artists.

Consulate-General of Japan in Jeddah will arrange a traditional tea ceremony demonstration, Ikebana (flower arrangement), Washoku and Mochi-tsuki experience as well as origami making and Japanese calligraphy during the festival at its booth of Fenaa Hayy.

Hayy Matsuri is in partnership with Art Jameel for Arts and Abdul Latif Jameel Motors in celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia.
