The Newly Awarded Michelin-Starred Restaurant Welcomes The Year Of The Rabbit To The Capital for an Unmissable Celebratio
Abu Dhabi, UAE-: Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant, Hakkasan Abu Dhabi, gets ready to celebrate the Chinese New Year next year in style by paying homage to The Year of the Rabbit. From January 21st until February 5th, the iconic restaurant will offer guests a unique menu boasting sumptuous dishes, and decadent dessert and cocktail specially created for the occasion. The alluring menu, priced at AED 598, promises to excite not only the palettes but the senses with subtle nods to the Rabbit throughout the presentation and ingredients used. This year, Hakkasan Abu Dhabi promises exceptional revelations by honouring customs through the elevation of the guest experience as Hakkasan continues to pay homage to its Chinese roots.
Ideal for sharing with a significant other or a friend, the enticing Chinese New Year menu will include a welcome cocktail and eight unique dishes to enjoy. Guests will start the menu with the ‘Tùzi Tail’, an extravagant drink that serves to set the mood for the experience to ensue. To whet the appetite, guests can savour the flavours of Lo Hei ‘Prosperity Toss’, an octopus salad drizzled with yuzu plum sauce and chilli garlic vinegar followed by Happiness dim sum trio, inclusive of a glorious seafood dumpling, XO scallop, and prawn shui mai, and Mooli puff. To follow, the main dishes include the Cherrywood smoked roasted duck with carrot and kumquat chutney, and Stir-fried Wagyu beef, bursting with succulent flavours and aromas. An aptly named, black sesame mousse, raspberry compote, and raspberry sumac sorbet, ‘The Lucky Rabbit’ will mark the end of the luxurious feast.
Most symbolic of the celebrations will be the Wishing ribbon tradition, a practice born centuries ago where guests can tie ribbons with their wishes for the New Year imprinted on them, around the venue. The tradition of hanging wishing ribbons throughout the restaurant will continue the celebrations bringing good fortune in the coming year.
