Dubai, UAE – Babushka, the recently opened Slavic restaurant and bar located within Pavilion at The Beach in JBR, proudly announces a two-day culinary festival celebrating the essence of Georgia. This special event, a collaboration with female culinary maverick, Chef Marusya Naumova, née Askaneli, promises a delectable exploration of Georgian cuisine within the contemporary Slavic culinary landscape.

Scheduled for January 13th and 14th, Babushka will host a remarkable “Four Hands Chef” collaboration, symbolizing a fusion of culinary expertise between Babushka’s Head Chef Slava Gnedovsky and Chef Marusya Naumova. This event marks the beginning of a series of guest chef events envisioned by Babushka, aimed at showcasing the diversity of Slavic cuisine through innovative collaborations with renowned culinary talents from around the world.

“Babushka, a name steeped in the endearing essence of “grandmother,” is on a heartfelt mission to cultivate partnerships and illuminate the culinary legacies of grandmothers spanning diverse corners of the globe. Our vision is to celebrate and share the cherished recipes passed down through generations, honoring the cultural richness and culinary wisdom of grandmothers worldwide. No journey is complete without her set of spices and seasonings, the foundation of the dishes that earned her such love,” shares Alexander Syrnev, co-owner of Babushka Dubai.

As part of this event, Babushka is set to immerse diners in the authentic flavors of Georgia. Chef Marusya Naumova, originally from Western Georgia, is one of the rare chefs who authentically unveils the full spectrum of Georgian gastronomy. She will infuse her expertise into the menu, guiding diners on an immersive exploration of this underrated cuisine.

Two exceptional events are on the horizon: the Georgian gastronomic five-course dinner taking place on January 13th and the delightful “Old New Hash” Sunday Brunch scheduled for January 14th.
