Hundreds and thousands of residents and visitors joined citywide celebrations to mark 53 years of the UAE’s union with a jam-packed programme of specially curated experiences spread across 6 fun-filled days

Dubai, United Arab Emirates-: Dubai has wrapped up a sensational weekend of citywide Eid Al Etihad celebrations to mark 53 astounding years of the UAE’s union, welcoming hundreds and thousands of residents and visitors to experience memorable moments together. An action-packed calendar of unmissable experiences spanning 6 fun-filled days were specially curated by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), bringing endless wonder and joy to everyone across the city. Families and friends saved big when shopping for 573 top brands at over 3,000 participating outlets, while enjoying memorable dining moments at more than 500 participating restaurants, coupled with exclusive experiences across leading hotels and attractions, dazzling fireworks across the city, and A-list global and local artists.

Audiences were amazed to witness Dubai’s skies light up every single day of the long weekend with dazzling fireworks at iconic locations across the city, including Hatta, Dubai Festival City Mall, Al Seef, Dubai Parks and Resorts, and Global Village.

Among the standout moments of this year’s festivities was a thrilling parade at City Walk, featuring 130 performers in addition to 700 participants from Dubai Police including flag bearers, academy graduates, cavalry, marching band, canine unit, as well as roaming entertainment by fabric dancers, acrobats, traditional bands, and interactive acts. The celebrations concluded with a show-stopping performance by Emirati singer Mohamed Al Shehhi.

Star-studded live entertainment continued throughout the weekend with performances by A-list artists across the city. Dubai Festival City Mall rolled out the red-carpet for Aryam and Faisal Al Jasim, alongside roaming entertainment, festive decorations, and dazzling fireworks. Thousands of sports fans joined in the action with Kings Cup Dubai, Emirates Dubai 7s, Dubai Camel Racing, and the Skechers Performance Run.

Spectacular savings could be found across the city as part of Dubai’s biggest shopping weekend, the 3 Day Super Sale (3DSS) – which was extended for the first time this year by an additional day to bring everyone extra savings during Eid Al Etihad. Tens of thousands of shoppers rushed to their favourite malls to enjoy whopping discounts of up to 90 per cent off at over 500 top brands across more than 3,000 participating outlets.

Adding to the shopping fun, a packed programme of thrilling family activations also welcomed thousands of shoppers at leading malls including a week-long daily celebration at City Centre Mirdif that featured community events, workshops, exhibitions, celebrity-led masterclasses, games night, and much more for all ages. Ibn Battuta Mall and Future Bedouin showcased innovative artwork as part of the UAE Reimagined exhibition, coupled with interactive activities. Mercato Mall and Town Centre Jumeirah hosted daily celebrations, including live entertainment, workshops, henna art, and a fun mascot meet-and-greet. Plus, lively seasonal markets at Jumeirah, Al Khawaneej, and Ripe Market brought even more thrilling ways for everyone to enjoy vibrant community celebrations. Dubai’s beloved mascot Modesh and his friend Dana joined in the festivities across major retail hotspots, delighting families with special meet-and-greets.

The long weekend also brought the perfect chance for residents and visitors to explore exclusive experiences at Dubai’s top hotels and attractions. Families and friends enjoyed special offers at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, Edge Creekside Hotel, H Hotel Dubai, Stella Di Mare Dubai Marina Hotel, Novotel Bur Dubai, ECOS Hotel at Al Furjan Dubai, Coral Deira Dubai, ME Dubai Hotel, as well as Hatta Resorts. A wide variety of Dubai’s most exciting attractions also brought unlimited thrills for all ages, including MOTIONGATE™ Dubai, Expo City Dubai, Dubai Dolphinarium, Dubai Crocodile Park, and Dubai Miracle Garden.

Dubai’s vibrant culinary scene received a special spotlight this Eid Al Etihad as foodies enjoyed a feast of flavours at more than 500 participating restaurants. Emirati Eats brought a special culinary experience to the city with exclusive tasting menus, special promotions, and dining events at leading citywide restaurants; while Careem joined the celebrations with whopping discounts of up to 50 per cent when eating in at over 500 restaurants – with a special focus on homegrown eateries – through its DineOut feature, in addition to exciting offers on its Rides and Bike services.
