3Fils and BRIX Desserts are making their way to Abu Dhabi for the very first time for a three-month fine dining pop-up at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara
ABU DHABI, UAE – Homegrown, Dubai-born restaurants 3Fils and BRIX Desserts are making their way to Abu Dhabi for the very first time as a three-month fine dining culinary collaboration with Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara begins this week.
Turning the luxury resort’s Royal Pavilion into a destination dining space, the exclusive pop-up invites diners in the capital to embark on an indulgent gastronomic discovery of global flavours in the heart of Abu Dhabi’s Empty Quarter during its limited seating experiences that will take place every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6pm onwards, till the end of March 2023.
Presenting a 12-course tasting menu inspired by ‘Around the World’ gastronomic experiences, the pop-up will introduce guests to some of the world’s most exciting cuisines through a combination of visual and gustatory storytelling. The three parts of the journey – The Odyssey, The Expedition, and The Discovery – will each comprise four dishes, paired with a total of five craft beverages served throughout the dinner.
Guests booking the unique culinary experience will be ushered into the palatial Royal Pavilion –located a few minutes’ drive from the main resort. With a breath-taking panorama all around, the pop-up restaurant is designed to embrace the natural surroundings of the Empty Quarter while offering diners scenic desert views and complete privacy.
Exclusively for the Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort collaboration, the team at 3Fils and BRIX led by renowned Head Chef Carmen Rueda have curated a menu featuring dishes made with unexpected ingredients that seek to challenge the curious and the adventurous to open up their palates to new flavours.
Guests will be treated to Asian-inspired creations from the Michelin Guide-listed 3Fils. To begin, Japanese high gastronomy will be on display in a trio of bite-sized cold starters, including tuna potatoes, wagyu and ginger with smoked salt, and crispy tuna uni. Followed by Thai soft-shell crab salad, aromatic mushroom and herb soup from China, Norway’s paper-thin salmon carpaccio with yuzu pearls and sesame ponzu, and a scallop flower topped with a delicate mango sphere representing the flavours of the Philippines.
During the three months of the collaboration, Chef Carmen will personally be creating her sensational desserts, including highlights like Winter Cheesecake, Caviar Pearls with yuzu, lime, sesame and white truffle, as well as a and a delectable Cocoa Bean shell containing light-as-air chocolate mousse, salted caramel and coffee ‘soil’.
The ‘Around the World’ gastronomic journey at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort is available every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from now till end of March 2023. The experience is served from 6pm and is priced at AED 900 per person for a set 12-course degustation menu including paired free-spirited beverages.
