Dubai, UAE: The UAE’s best restaurants were revealed at the third edition of Deliveroo’s Restaurant Awards in the UAE. The Deliveroo Restaurant Awards saw 27 of the UAE’s best restaurants take home one of this year’s esteemed trophies. This year, Pickl received the coveted Restaurant of the Year award, which was the only award nominated by the public and selected by a panel of judges consisting of F&B experts and media personalities.
The awards honoured Deliveroo’s exceptional restaurant partners who have thrived within the dynamic F&B landscape in the UAE. Nearly 600 restaurants were nominated for the awards, with winners across 27 categories determined through public voting as devoted customers passionately backed their favourite dining spots. A remarkable tally of nearly 500,000 votes was recorded throughout the duration of the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards this year, underscoring the UAE’s profound affection for food delivery.
Pickl – the homegrown burger joint – was crowned the final award of the night – Restaurant of the Year, after a fierce competition against finalists Pitfire Pizza, SushiArt, Rascals, and SALT. The Restaurant of the Year was determined by a panel of judges who undertook the task of trying food from each of the 5 shortlisted restaurants and rating different aspects of their food delivery experience. The assessment covered key factors like food quality, packaging and presentation, value for money, going the extra mile for customers, and brand personality. This year’s panel of judges featured General Manager at Deliveroo Middle East, Anis Harb, the Lifestyle Writer at What’s On, Tamara Wright, Journalist and Social Media Personality, Laura Lai, Entrepreneur, TV Presenter and Social Media Personality, Peyman Rashid Al Awadhi, and Content Creator and Food Enthusiast, Alex Augusti.
This year’s lineup of awards introduced six new categories, welcoming a range of new restaurant partners to take part in the event. Winners of these new categories included Tortilla for Best Mexican, Baskin Robbins for Best Ice Cream, Rascals for Best Sandwich Shop, SALATA for Best Salad Restaurant, Zaatar w Zeit for Best Breakfast Restaurant and PAUL Bakery & Restaurant for Best Bakery.

After a poll was put up for all Deliveroo riders to cast their vote, and given their love for burgers, Five Guys was crowned the winner of the Most Loved by Riders category. Votes were based on factors such as the availability of rest areas and refreshments, order accuracy, wait times, and ease of communication with the restaurant’s team.
