Abu Dhabi, UAE-– Daikan Izakaya is bringing its legendary signature ramen and incredible Izakaya sharing dishes to the lively new C2 district at City Walk, Dubai.

After closing in DIFC last year, the renowned Japanese bar and dining experience is proud to come back bigger and stronger than ever, and launch its first licensed branch in Dubai in the heart of the city’s most exciting new area.

Set to open by end of March, and presenting a unique offering unlike anything else in the region, Daikan Izakaya has already gathered a legion of fans with its debut branch at Yas Bay, Abu Dhabi. Guests may also be familiar with its sister brand Daikan Ramen, a concept that is famous for offering the best ramen in the UAE.

Ideal for laid-back foodies and those with a passion for Japanese culture, Daikan Izakaya brings a characterful vibe and a casual, yet elegant, ambiance that immediately makes every guest feel at home.

Transporting guests to the bustling streets of Tokyo, the menu spans Daikan’s ultra-delicious signature ramen in an array of different meat and vegetarian options, plus a huge choice of further tempting Japanese specialties. Spanning contemporary small plates like crispy gyoza, miso aubergine and chicken katsu, juicy charcoal grills like Angus beef bao ribs, butter garlic prawns and yakiniku sliders, and of course a wide choice of sushi and sashimi such as signature Daikan rolls, hand rolls and light nori tacos, there’s plenty to delight those of all tastes and preferences. With a huge choice of premium cocktails, wines and beers, it’s ideal for everything from fun-packed nights out, to casual gatherings, and recovery sessions after the night before.

Ensuring that waste is kept to a minimum and maximum flavor is delivered with every bite, everything is made fresh in-house, right down to the kansui alkaline noodles. Featuring locally sourced and premium quality ingredients, each creative plate is brimming with vibrant exotic tastes and enrapturing textures.

A family-run concept founded in Germany by brothers Bilal and Salih Elmascan, the original halal Daikan was born in Cologne back in 2016. The brothers then decided to expand to the UAE in 2017, and since then Daikan has grown and expanded to become the nation’s most much-loved Japanese hotspot.

With Daikan Ramen offering two casual spots in JLT and Nakheel Mall on The Palm, Dubai, the new opening at C2, City Walk, marks Daikan’s third branch in Dubai, and it’s fourth in the UAE.

The Daikan brothers say: “After sadly having to close our DIFC branch last year, we are immensely excited to open our first fully licensed branch of Daikan Izakaya in Dubai. Offering the same signature Daikan ramen that our guests know and love, Daikan Izakaya offers an elevated experience that showcases the full diversity and variety of authentic Japanese cuisine. While our ramen is still a key feature, our new branch also offers a huge choice of delicious traditional and modern Japanese small plates, grills and sushi, plus a wide variety of cocktails, beers and beverages. Located in the lively, licensed neighborhood of C2, we’re sure that our ramen will become everyone’s go-to cure after a late night out, and that our bespoke Japanese-inspired cocktails will become a weekend favorite. Providing a down-to-earth, yet sophisticated vibe, and fair prices throughout, Daikan Izakaya is ready to bring something distinctly different and refreshing to Dubai’s thriving dining and nightlife scene.”

Daikan Izakaya at C2, City Walk is set to open by end of March, 2024.
