DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES-:  Chaihona No. 1 by Vasilchuki, a beloved dining destination in Dubai Marina, is excited to announce the launch of its new menu inspired by the Vasilchuk family’s travels to Greece.

Combining the rich flavours of the Mediterranean with Chaihona’s signature fusion of Slavic, Asian, and Middle Eastern cuisines, the menu brings nostalgic, wholesome Vasilchuk family dishes to life.

CEO Artemiy Vasilchuk fondly recalls family holidays in Greece, where they would enjoy the simple pleasures of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. He shares a personal story about fishing for octopus in Greek villages, tenderizing the catch by beating it with sticks, just as the locals do. “We’d catch the octopus, beat it 100 times to soften it, and then prepare it with traditional flavours. Those moments shaped our family’s connection to Mediterranean cuisine,” Artemiy reminisces.

The new menu reflects these memories, bringing together Mediterranean-inspired dishes celebrating family, tradition, and fresh ingredients.

New salads include the Stracciatella Salad with the famous Uzbek tomatoes, creamy stracciatella cheese, and crispy eggplant, drizzled with a tangy yoghurt-based sauce infused with mint and cilantro, finished with crispy quinoa and cashews, and the Cottage Cheese and Tomato Salad, a cherished family recipe. This simple yet flavourful salad was a staple at every Vasilchuk family feast, personally prepared by Alexey Vasilchuk for his seven children.

Dolma, a Mediterranean-inspired stuffed grape leaf filled with a perfectly spiced blend of rice and herbs, must be tried while you wait for your main course. The Octopus is a tribute to Artemiy’s childhood memories. This dish features steamed octopus served crispy on the outside, baked potatoes, and a tangy tomato Pilati sauce.

A new Greek-inspired Orzo with Seafood, cooked in shrimp broth and enriched with butter, feta cheese, and oregano, is one of Alexey Vasilchuk’s favourite dishes to prepare for guests during family holidays. Also on the new pasta menu is Paccheri Pasta baked with beef, tomatoes, pilati, olive oil, and fresh basil.

Mezze Platter featuring babaganoush, hummus, tarama, tzatziki, and marinated olives, bringing together flavours from both sides of the Mediterranean is a new addition for groups looking to share.

The new desserts are the cherry on top of Chaihona’s exciting take on Greek-infused cuisine and include Seasonal Fruit Tart with a choice of cherry or raspberry, perfectly balanced with a touch of rosemary and Crème Brûlée finished with passion fruit and blueberries for a refreshing twist on the classic.

Chaihona No. 1 invites diners to embark on a culinary journey through Greece, where tradition meets innovation, and every dish tells a story. With the new menu, guests can indulge in the flavours of the Mediterranean right in the heart of Dubai Marina.

This innovative and exciting restaurant invites you to the Marina to explore its modern fusion menu, homely interiors, and unique dining concept.
