Nestled within DIFC, Uchi, the distinguished one-toque Gault&Millau restaurant in Dubai, is set to honour the Eid celebrations with the extension of its Sakura Menu. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese Cherry Blossom, the restaurant is bringing forth a culinary representation of the Sakura – a symbol of new life and the beginning of an all-new chapter to embrace the shift in season. Priced at AED 300, the seasonal menu includes a choice of three starters, a main course and a dessert which will be available for dine-in throughout Eid Al-Fitr.
As cherry blossoms bloom in abundance, Uchi’s Sakura Menu emerges as a celebration of the beauty of nature and the joy of new beginnings. Crafted by Head Chef Ciprian Porumbacean, each dish embodies the essence of Japanese culinary artistry, presenting the fresh produce of the season, to offer the premium ingredients in all their glory. The culinary journey starts with starters like the classic Spicy Tuna as well as the Sakura Botan Ebi, which features marinated prawns alongside fresh asparagus, ponzu, truffle, and caviar. The house-favourite Uchi Garden, is also a part of the Sakura Menu, showcasing a vibrant medley of spring vegetables adorned with goma dressing and ume plum, reminiscent of a tranquil Japanese garden. For the main course, Chef Ciprian is celebrating the unique flavour of the Black Cod, bathed in truffle ponzu, peas, edamame, burnt butter, and snow peas. Completing the menu is the Sakura Parfait, a decadent blend of mochi, raspberry cremeux, and green tea dacquoise, served with genmaicha and sakura sparkling tea.
