Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia-: ASFAR, the Saudi tourism investment company, a PIF company, announced a landmark partnership with the Sharqia Development Authority (SDA) to develop Al Khobar’s Southern Corniche into a premier destination for both local and international visitors. Unveiled at Cityscape Global in Riyadh, this agreement underscores ASFAR’s commitment to Al Khobar, one of ASFAR’s promising cities.
Baheej Tourism Development Company, a joint venture between ASFAR, the Saudi tourism investment company, and the Tamimi-AWN Alliance, will spearhead this visionary project, spanning 414,000 square meters and including a 3-kilometer Corniche with a 10-hectare fishing harbor. This transformative endeavor aims to elevate urban living standards, expand tourism offerings, and position Al Khobar as a sustainable, globally recognized destination. Designed to cater to the local community, marine enthusiasts, and young adults, the project will offer a vibrant mix of entertainment and marine-focused experiences, creating an interactive marina community.
Expressing shared excitement, Eng. The project will integrate smart city technologies and green spaces, prioritizing resource efficiency and minimal environmental impact. Public areas will feature pedestrian walkways, recreational zones, and expanded waterfront access, significantly enhancing Al Khobar’s urban fabric.
