The Indonesian Trade Exhibition themed “Amazing Indonesia: A Symphony of Trade, Culture, and Tourism” is organized by the Consulate General of Indonesia in Jeddah and Indonesian Trade Promotion Center, on 26 – 28 September 2024 at Al Mutlaq Hall, Madinah Road, Jeddah.

The event is aimed to expand the market of the Indonesian creative economy sector in Saudi Arabia as well as to showcase the Indonesian products brought by 22 (twenty-two) Small, and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) such as food and beverage, craft and fashion, and many more. In addition to the said SMEs, there are 8 (eight) importers of Indonesian products existing in Saudi Market participating in the Expo.

“Hopefully, this event would be a trailblazer for our way forward in further boosting our bilateral trade as well as expanding the market of Indonesian products in Saudi Arabia”, says Ambassador Yusron, the Indonesian Consul General on the Opening of Amazing Indonesia on 26 September 2024.

During the event, there have been business matchings that result in the signing of agreements between Indonesian and Saudi Companies, among others are BPKH Limited (a subsidiary of the Hajj Financial Management Agency) and Kayan Al-Mashaer Transport Company as well as Shaghadif Transport Co., and Huda Al Hijaz Transportation Company.

Apart from business activities, Amazing Indonesia is also enlivened with the Indonesian cultural performances including Kembang Kipas dance and Cendrawasih (Bird of Paradise) dance.

Saudi Arabia is one of Indonesia’s largest trading partner in the Middle East. The total trade value between the two countries in 2023 is USD 6.14 billion and USD 3.99 billion in January – July 2024. The trend of the trade value for the period of 2019 – 2023 is growing 10.8% per year. Indonesia has been on the deficit side (9.71%) for the said period. However, Indonesia manages to increase 11.17 % per year on the export value on the period of 2019 – 2023.
