AlUla Wellness Festival presents an extraordinary journey into a world of infinite reflections as Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama showcases “Brilliance of the Souls (2014)”, an immersive art installation that mesmerised and captivated visitors at the AlUla Wellness Festival 2023, which took place from October 19th until November 4th, 2023.
‘Brilliance of the Souls’ is part of Kusama’s renowned Infinity Mirror Room series and marks the appearance of the iconic artist in Saudi Arabia’s AlUla. This dazzling art installation invites attendees to step inside a room that transcended conventional boundaries, offering an unparalleled sensory experience.
Born in 1929 in Matsumoto, Japan, Kusama is a globally celebrated artist known for her multifaceted creative practice, spanning installation, painting, sculpture, fashion design, and literature. Since the 1970s, she has been based in Tokyo, where her work continues to garner international acclaim.
Visitors will have the exclusive opportunity to immerse themselves in Kusama’s mesmerising Infinity Mirror Room until December 31st, 2023. Having returned for its third edition, the AlUla Wellness Festival offered guests a holistic retreat in the tranquil historic surroundings of AlUla.
