Taking place on 23-24 January 2025 and set within the majestic surroundings of AlUla, the next AlUla Trail Race promises an unforgettable experience of athleticism, adventure, culture, and fun.
Located in north west of Saudi Arabia, AlUla’s unique and stunning terrain offers runners the chance to navigate ancient trails once travelled by traders and pilgrims, surrounded by sprawling desert landscape, towering rock formations, and verdant green oases. For the young running enthusiasts, the 1.6km Kids Run and 3km Sunset Run provide the perfect opportunity to take part in their first Trail Race starting from just 45 SAR, while the 10km AlUla Oasis Run serves as a longer option for the young adults looking to test their limits.
The experienced runners looking for a new challenge can take in AlUla’s stunning sights along its various trails, including the half-marathon in the 23km Elephant Rock Run and the 50km AlMejdar Ultra-Marathon designed to test one’s limits to the fullest. The two-day event will begin with registration, bib and kit collection, and pre-race briefings on Day 1, with the event weekend beginning with family-friendly activities in the Kids Run and Sunset Run.
On Day 2, runners will tackle the 10km AlUla Oasis Run, the 23km Elephant Rock Run, the 50km AlMejdar Ultra-Marathon, and the 100km Hegra Hundred Ulta-Marathon. An awards ceremony will then take place to honour the top participants.
In addition to the races, the vibrant Race Village brings a unique experience for all with food trucks, specialty coffee, live entertainment, and opportunities to explore AlUla’s remarkable heritage. Runners will also have access to recovery zones with physiotherapy services for post-race care.
