AlUla, Saudi Arabia-: The countdown is on until the return of the region’s most anticipated endurance race, with over 1450 athletes prepare to take on the AlUla Trail Race in the stunning destination of AlUla this weekend.
The 2025 edition, featuring 6 race courses including the bucket list 100km Hegra Hundred Ultra Marathon race, will see a sell-out weekend with runners of all ages and fitness levels taking on the challenge on 23 and 24 January 2025.
With a variety of categories for entry, this year’s AlUla Trail Race weekend will feature fun for the young running enthusiasts with the 1.6km Kids Run and 3km Sunset Run, while new beginners looking to take on their first trail run can test their limit with the 10km AlUla Oasis Run.
For the competitive individuals, this year’s event offers an incredible prize pool topping 136 thousand SAR, with top finishers in the 100km Hegra Hundred Ultra-Marathon earning up to 20 thousand SAR. Cash prizes for the podium finishers in the 10km AlUla Oasis Run, 23km Elephant Rock Run and 50km AlMejdar Ultra-Marathon will also be available in this year’s event to provide a unique incentive for those aiming to take on a new challenge.
Located in north west of Saudi Arabia, AlUla’s unique and stunning terrain offers runners the chance to navigate ancient trails once travelled by traders and pilgrims, surrounded by sprawling desert landscape, towering rock formations, and verdant green oases.
