“The Challenge Continues” … The stars of the round continue their creativity in the Asiri art competitions
Riyadh – -: Within the framework of “The Challenge Continues” initiative rounds that promote Saudi culture and heritage, the second round witnessed an exciting competition between three of the most prominent stars of Al-Ahli Club, and this time the challenge moved from the football fields to the Asiri cooking arena.
Samihan Al Nabet, Firmino and Gabri Vega competed in preparing the most famous Asiri dishes, and the main challenge was to master the ingredients and preparation of the Asiri “Haneeth” dish, which consists of meat, in addition to the southern “Areika”, which is a famous and delicious popular dish prepared using water, salt and wheat flour.
The referee for this round was Chef Ali Al-Assas from Asir region, who supervised the evaluation of the stars’ participation based on precise criteria that included the degree of meat doneness, taste, and the way the dish was presented, while Brazilian star Firmino was able to win the challenge, demonstrating unexpected prowess in mastering the arts of traditional Asir cooking.
International referee Anas Omar also took on the task of monitoring the competition, but this time not to monitor football violations, but to ensure that the players adhere to the rules and principles of traditional cooking, as his distinguished presence added an atmosphere of fun and excitement and ignited the enthusiasm of participants and viewers.
