Ajman, UAE – –– The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) is delighted to announce the upcoming Festival of Folklore Strings, set to take place at the Ajman Cultural Center on Saturday April 27, 2024. Organized in collaboration with Ideaspeak, this vibrant event coincides with International Dance Day, symbolizing the universal language of dance and its ability to bridge cultures and communities.
“Dance transcends borders, preserving cultural heritage and connecting communities,” remarked His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development. “The Festival of Folklore Strings reflects our commitment to showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of Ajman and fostering cross-cultural dialogue through artistic expression.”
The Festival of Folklore Strings promises a mesmerizing 90-minute spectacle, featuring 18 captivating performances that delve into diverse folkloric traditions from around the globe. With a total of 70 performers between 10 and 10 years old, the event will feature 18 captivating performances, each lasting 4-5 minutes and showcasing a diverse range of dance styles. These performances will include traditional dances from around the world, such as Russian, Greek, Argentine, Georgia, Austria, Spain, Ukraine, India, Moldova, Hungary, and Armenia.
The visual spectacle will also be enhanced by approximately 400 pieces of costumes and accessories. This comprehensive lineup promises to take audiences on a captivating journey showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of each cultural narrative.
The Festival of Folklore Strings is not only a celebration of artistic excellence but also a testament to the power of cultural exchange.
