AJet has launched flights from Istanbul to four new cities in Saudi Arabia.
As part of its rapid growth following the 2024 summer season, AJet announced the start of new flights from Sabiha Gökçen Airport to four destinations in Saudi Arabia in October. The new stops are: Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina, and Dammam.
AJet, Turkey’s new airline known for its affordable fares and accessibility, has begun flying to four new destinations in Saudi Arabia, including the capital Riyadh, starting in October. The first flights from Istanbul to Jeddah took off on October 1, followed by flights to Riyadh, Medina, and Dammam on October 2.
Commenting on the new routes, AJet’s General Manager Kerem Sarp said: “We are proud to open these new routes in Saudi Arabia, which will both connect our citizens to the holy lands and foster cultural and commercial ties between the region and Turkey. AJet will continue to expand its services to strategic destinations around the world.”
Majid Khan, CEO of the Saudi Arabia Air Connectivity Program (ACP), added: “We are excited to enhance air access between Turkey and the Kingdom through our partnership with AJet. These direct routes from Istanbul to Jeddah, Medina, Dammam, and Riyadh will support our tourism strategy by bringing more visitors to discover Saudi Arabia. We look forward to developing this collaboration and meeting the growing demand for travel to the Kingdom.”
Through this expansion, AJet will enable thousands of Muslims from around the world to visit the holy lands and fulfill their religious duties, while also facilitating business travel between Turkey and the Gulf states.
