DSF’s epic 30th anniversary edition is rolling out the red carpet for the world’s biggest A-list performers and celebrities in a show-stopping line-up of 20 electrifying live shows throughout Dubai until 12 January 2025
Dubai, United Arab Emirates-: It’s time for Dubai residents and visitors to mark their calendars for an unforgettable season of spectacular entertainment, electrifying concerts, exhilarating shows, and epic New Year’s Eve celebrations as the city’s biggest-ever line-up of A-list performers will set the stage ablaze for the most extraordinary edition of the iconic annual Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), one of the most diverse and dynamic line-ups of artists ever to perform in DSF’s illustrious 30-year history promises a wonder-filled atmosphere that’s perfect for everyone.
Over the coming weeks, the city’s calendar is packed with a chorus of multicultural musical treats, opera productions, immersive theatrical experiences, laugh-out-loud comedy shows, and urban community events will take over leading venues across the city. Tickets are now on sale for these must-see events of the season, promising to thrill, captivate, and leave audiences wanting more.
DSF NIGHTS AT DUBAI FESTIVAL CITY MALL
Dubai Festival City Mall is turning into a music-filled celebration every single night of DSF with a star-studded line-up of free-to-attend live concerts taking place every Saturday night at 9:30pm. Upcoming A-list Arabic performers include Yara Mena on 21 December, Hams Fikri on 4 January, and Ibrahim Al-Sultan on 11 January. Visitors can reserve their spots through the Blue Rewards app. Plus, a special ticketed New Year’s Eve show from Mahmoud El Esseily will ring in the new year on 31 December 2024 in style.
The world renowned X Factor, in partnership with Dubai TV as part of DSF, is coming to life every Sunday night at 10:30pm with a live show. The popular singing competition sees singers and bands compete for the title of the next X Factor superstar before celebrity judges Ragheb Alama, Rahma Riad, and Fayez AlSaeed, with the grand finale set to take place on 12 January 2025.
COCA COLA ARENA
Cocomelon Live: Sing-A-Long on 20 and 21 December will feature cheerful preschool teacher Ms. Appleberry as she leads JJ and his friends on a musical adventure through the Melon Patch, sharing valuable life lessons in a fun and engaging performance for families. Russian comic Pavel Volya will bring his sharp wit and unfiltered humour to the stage on 6 January, delivering a guaranteed night of laughs and memorable moments. Rock and pop music will fill the air on 7 January as Zemfira, the iconic Russian singing sensation, delivers a spectacular performance. Arabic music stars Majid Al Muhandis and Assala will join the DSF celebrations on 10 January 2025. This showcase of foot-tapping pop tunes promises an unforgettable evening of music and entertainment.
DUBAI OPERA
The golden age of Hollywood musicals will take centre stage as the much-anticipated production of Singin’ in the Rain arrives in Dubai, running until 14 December, promising a dazzling theatrical experience. Internationally-acclaimed ballerina Svetlana Zakharova joins a star-studded cast from the Bolshoi Ballet to perform MODANSE on 15 January. The timeless tale of The Nutcracker will come to life from 19 to 22 December, performed by the Astana Opera ballet and orchestra under the artistic direction of Yuri Grigorovich. Popular British comedian Al Murray brings the house down with a fresh set of jokes on 20 January. On 26 December, Egyptian singer Hany Shaker will take the stage for an unforgettable evening of chart-topping hits, captivating audiences with his soulful voice and timeless melodies. The Kingdom Choir will celebrate three decades of music on 28 December, performing their greatest hits. On 29 December, Najwa Karam will light up the stage with a performance of her greatest hits, creating a night to remember with her iconic voice and beloved songs. The Kuwaiti play Abracadabra 2 will bring comedic brilliance to Dubai on 4 and 5 January, delivering an evening filled with unexpected twists and endless laughter.

From 20 to 24 December, the enchanting world of Whoville will come to life as Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical takes the stage, delivering a heartwarming theatrical experience perfect for the holiday season.

The QE2 will host a technicolour musical adventure as The Wizard of Oz takes the stage until 26 December. Dorothy and Toto will journey down the yellow brick road, accompanied by a gorgeous musical score, offering a vibrant theatrical experience.
JUMEIRAH BEACH HOTEL
The Panto team will bring a magical new production of Aladdin to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Auditorium from 17 to 29 December. This brand-new version will blend comedy, music, dancing, and dazzling costumes, creating an enchanting family experience.
NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATIONS
Zero Gravity’s NYE Beach Festival will kick off on 31 December, inviting guests to soak up the sun, enjoy the final sunset of the year, and dance into 2025 with headliner Joel Corry at the DJ booth. Barasti Beach will welcome 2025 with a New Year’s Eve bash featuring DJ Nicky Romero, fire dancers, stilt walkers, and a spectacular laser light show. Atlantis, The Palm will host grand New Year’s Eve celebrations headlined by Lionel Richie, featuring Broadway-inspired décor, theatrical performances, roaming entertainment, and culminating in a breathtaking fireworks display to ring in 2025 in style. The iconic Burj Khalifa will light up with a stunning fireworks display, accompanied by a breathtaking light and music show, to welcome the New Year in true Dubai style.
