Dubai, United Arab Emirates – – Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023, the largest gathering of watchmaking enthusiasts ever to take place in the city, is set to commence from 27 March to 2 April 2023. With 48 exhibiting Maisons, including some of the industry’s main players such as Jaeger-LeCoultre, Patek Philippe, Cartier, Chanel, Roger Dubuis, and Rolex, Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023 will be an unparalleled showcase of exquisite craftsmanship, cutting-edge technology and timeless elegance.
The first few days will be exclusive to press, retailers, and guests of the exhibiting Maisons, but the love for watchmaking will be shared with everyone in the city. The heart of Geneva will tick to the rhythm of watchmaking movements for the entire week, with a dedicated program designed for the general public. From discussions on the role of the WEB3 and metaverse in connecting a traditional industry to the potential for starting a vintage watch collection, there is something for everyone.
Across the city, various activities will take place from Monday March 27 to Saturday April 1, 2023 as part of an intense program that includes watch boutiques, guided visits, a rally and conferences, the program promises to be intense.
The program includes Boutique animations, where exhibiting Maisons will highlight their exceptional creations and pieces, their craftsmanship, and their know-how. The Watchmaking rally will invite enthusiasts to discover the watchmakers’ boutiques and cultural sites. Visitors using their mobile phone can access QR codes dotted along the way, and will have to piece together the word ‘Watches and Wonders,’ the secret code that will allow them to enter the prize draw. Ten winners will receive two tickets for the Salon during the weekend, including meals.
Guided tours and visits will take visitors to Geneva city center, Patek Philippe Museum, and will cover the city’s illustrious watchmaking past. On March 30 from 5 to 9 pm, visitors will enjoy an evening of street festivities, where Watches and Wonders will be taking over the Rue Basses, from the Pont de la Machine to the Place Longemalle, passing by the major watch brand boutiques and stores in Rue du Rhône. The final entertainment of the evening will take place on Quai Général Guisan.
In the Salon, open to the public on April 1 and 2, an extensive program has been specially designed for the weekend, with conferences, guided tours, and exhibitions, where visitors can discover what’s trending, the evolution of watchmaking and the actual value of a luxury watch, as well as Web3, Blockchain, and The Metaverse in Watchmaking.
Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023 promises an innovative and enriching experience for luxury watchmaking enthusiasts, taking place at Palexpo, Route François-Peyrot 30, 1218 Le Grand-Saconnex, Geneva, from 8.30 am to 7 pm on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2, 2023.
