CHICAGO— The 16th annual SITE Classic concluded last week at the Conrad Punta de Mita, Mexico, with 260 incentive travel professionals gathering in-person to connect, learn and discover a culturally rich destination in an idyllic natural setting.

“SITE Classic raises funds to support professional development, research and grants for the incentive travel industry. This year, we raised over $258,000 USD during highly contested silent and live auctions featuring exciting travel packages donated by our sponsors and supporters,” said SITE Foundation President Hamish Reid, also a Senior Associate Director at MMGY Hills Balfour. “In addition, we’re proud to announce that $17,135 USD has been donated to the Kokua Restaurant & Hospitality Fund in West Maui following the wildfires there that destroyed lives and livelihoods in a destination so important to the incentive travel industry.”

“SITE Foundation has donated over $10 million USD to the incentive travel industry since its formation in the late 1980s. This money has supported professional development, research and grants,” said Annette Gregg, CEO, SITE & SITE Foundation. “During SITE Classic, an expert panel discussed two research projects supported by SITE Foundation — the inSITEs series and the Incentive Travel Index — and demonstrated how research is shaping the nature, purpose and direction of incentive travel.”

“It’s been an honor to have hosted such a prestigious group of industry professionals,” said Marco Tabet, General Manager, Conrad Punta de Mita. “Our entire team worked hard to deliver memorable experiences, with a focus on attention to detail and luxury touches that our incentive clients and partners expect of the property. We were extremely proud to showcase everything that Conrad Punta de Mita has to offer during SITE Classic.”

SITE Classic is SITE Foundation’s flagship fundraiser event. Next year’s event will take place September 9-12 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
