Dubai-: This Ramadan, Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai has announced the unveiling of its first Majlis by Mandarin Oriental, a bespoke space that brings guests together for Iftar and Suhoor whilst paying homage to the incredibly rich heritage of the UAE.

The Majlis will feature a captivating exhibition curated by Emirati artist Yasmin Al Mulla, offering an unparalleled experience that is sure to delight guests seeking a deeper connection with the traditions of the UAE.

Designed with utmost luxury in mind, The Majlis boasts a stunning beachside location, complemented by warm interiors and intricate decorative detailing. This unique space exudes an elegantly relaxed ambiance, perfect for celebrating the Holy Month. Guests will enjoy a truly exceptional dining experience, merging the very best of Middle Eastern cuisine with signature creations from Netsu by Ross Shonhan and Tasca by José Avillez for both Iftar and Suhoor. As the evening sets in, guests can revel in the sounds of live Arabic instrumental music whilst surrounded by family and friends, either indoors or on the outdoor terrace overlooking the sea.

To enrich the experience, Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai has collaborated with Emirati artist Yasmin Al Mulla to create a gallery that features a creative and contemporary interpretation of seven mosques, each representing a specific Emirate. This visual journey captures the spirit of Ramadan by showcasing the cultural essence of the UAE.

The gallery will be displayed at the entrance of The Majlis by Mandarin Oriental, throughout the month of Ramadan. Commenting on the project, Yasmin Al Mulla said: “As an Emirati artist and creator, I am especially proud to bring this exhibition to life, inspired by the innate architecture and aesthetic design of the UAE’s most recognized Mosques. My aim is to rekindle the most cherished memories of Ramadan in the Emirates, that guests can share with family and friends.”

Iftar:

  • AED 335 per person.
  • Kids 0-3, free of charge, 4 to 11, half price and over 11 years same price as an adult.
  • Iftar served from sunset to 9pm.

Suhoor:

  • Minimum spend of AED 250 per person, a la carte excluding shisha.
  • Groups of 10-50 will be served a family style sharing menu.
  • Suhoor served from 10pm to 2am.
