A New Saturday Brunch Fit for the Gods
Dubai- The Palms hottest new venue, Laguna Beach Taverna & Lounge, is launching an eagerly anticipated Saturday brunch. The Taverna Brunch launches this Saturday (17th December) and is perfect for those living a hedonistic lifestyle and seeking an epicurean brunch experience.
The Taverna Brunch is inspired by Bacchus, the god of wine and celebration, wherever he wandered, drinks flowed, and tables were laden with food. At Laguna Beach Taverna & Lounge, the ancient story of Bacchanalia is reimagined. Guests can look forward to free-flowing beverages, Greco-Roman feasting, and live music (percussionist).
The Greek-Mediterranean sharing style menu has been designed by Chef de Cuisine, Juan Vasquez. The feast begins with eight family style starters, including Dibba Bay Oysters, Beef Tartare, Arancini Tartufo and Greek Salad. Each guest can then choose one main for the table, highlight dishes include Seafood Paella (mussels, shrimps, calamari, saffron), Chicken & Lamb Duo Gyros (pita bread, salad & tzatziki), Whole Local Fish (antiboise & baked baby potato), Casarecce Amatriciana (Pecorino Romano, beef bacon, chili flakes) which are accompanied by a selection of sides. After dinner the indulgent and highly Instagrammable dessert platter, Taste of Taverna, (Chocolate Namelaka, Lemon Olive Oil Cake, Basque cheesecake, Pavlova) is plated tableside.
The talented bar team has created a stunning selection of mocktails and cocktails for the new brunch, including the exotic PawPaw Smash (vodka & papaya), sweet and sour Sage Carica (vodka, sage & fig). Guests who prefer fizz can opt for the sparkling package which includes sparkling wine.
The open-air restaurant embodies the sun-soaked allure of the Mediterranean – inviting, full of character and utterly timeless. Guests can enjoy toes in the sand dining with a backdrop of stunning sea views. When the sun starts to set, the after party takes over in the lounge and guests can lose themselves dancing to the melodic beats of the resident DJ.
