AL-KHOBAR — InterContinental Al Khobar is again bringing back its yearly ‘Sushi Festival in Al-Khobar’, a week-long Japanese food promotion until Nov. 22, 2019.
Two renowned Sushi chefs from InterContinental Cairo Semiramis are being flown in to prepare a wide array of fresh and delectable sushi that includes signature roll sushi, hand rolls or temaki, crab meat, salmon and avocado, volcano sushi rolls and more. Besides sushi, the food festival also offers diners a variety of sashimi, Japanese cold appetisers, shrimp tempura, noodles, miso soup and desserts like mochi, matcha and the famous jiggly Japanese cheesecake.
“When we say sushi, we often think of it as being interchangeable with raw fish but what’s true is that sushi is vinegared rice topped with other ingredients. This year’s Sushi festival we have a mix of the traditional and contemporary variations of this bite-sized Japanese delicacies”, said Emmanouil Kyriakidis, Executive Chef of InterContinental Al Khobar. “Apart from sampling and enjoying the different kinds of roll, we also invite our guests to share recipe tips with our visiting sushi masters”, he added.
