Ginza, Tokyo boutique is world’s tenth retail point
For almost half a century, Henry Jacques has been crafting the finest perfumes, staying true to its rich heritage and traditional savoir-faire, whilst never ceasing to innovate. With beginnings as a bespoke house in France, the revered brand began sharing its creations with the world only a few years ago with the opening of its first boutique in Harrod’s, London. The maison has since expanded all over the world and is now proud to announce the opening of its first boutique in Japan, and its tenth global retail point.
Located on the prestigious Namiki-dori street in Ginza, the boutique was brought to life by the Maison’s Artistic Director, Christophe Tollemer, who has once again tailored a warm space reminiscent of a classical Parisian apartment, with all components handcrafted in France to maintain the beauty of its craftsmanship. Like the perfumes themselves, the boutique’s décor combines both traditional and contemporary elements, and features captivating, emotive artwork by celebrated artists Takahisa Kamiya and Daniel Smerck.
Upon entering the boutique, eyes are drawn to a striking Corian perfume organ symbolizing the historic Henry Jacques laboratory in the South of France – a beautiful contrast to the solid oak cabinets and flooring, and a perfect blend of old and new. Continuing through the space, there are exquisitely crafted alcoves elegantly housing the perfumes, and a comfortable lounge area, inviting guests to discover the collections in a sanctuary where one can forget the passing of hours and dive into the boundless allurement of great perfumery.
Visitors to the boutique will be able to discover all of Henry Jacques’ creations, from the Les Classiques essences at its heart to its lighter Les Brumes splash and sprays, the Les Exceptions masterpieces, the new solid perfumes housed in the pioneering Clic-Clac case, and of course, the bespoke or Sur-Mesure service where olfactory dreams are brought to life.
The Henry Jacques Ginza, Tokyo boutique joins the flagship in Paris, as well as boutiques in London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Beverly Hills, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Singapore.
