Joins “Bridges of Goodness” Campaign by Emirates Red Crescent
Dubai, UAE-: Central Hotels & Resorts, one of the fastest-growing hospitality management companies in the UAE, has donated AED1 million to Emirates Red Crescent’s “Bridges of Goodness” campaign to help people affected by the destructive earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
The donation aims to provide relief and humanitarian efforts including food, medical equipment, shelters, and other essentials to the areas and communities most affected by the earthquake. The Bridges of Goodness campaign was launched by the Emirates Red Crescent in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Community Development.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the displaced families and children affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. We are deeply saddened by the news and hope that our donation will support any relief and recovery work to help alleviate their suffering,” said Abdulla Al Abdulla, COO, and Group General Manager.
According to reports, the earthquake has claimed the lives of more than 47,000 and at least 164,000 buildings have either collapsed or are so damaged that they need to be demolished.
“The UAE government is very quick in responding to disasters whether in the region or afar and we’d like to emulate this spirit by giving our share to worthy causes. We will continue to help affected families and may this bring them some joy and optimism during these difficult times,” added Abdulla.
Part of the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, Central Hotels & Resorts actively and consistently support local and international awareness campaign and disaster relief effort.
