AlUla, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – 17 May 2023: The AlUla Skies Festival, a one-of-a-kind event celebrating the wonders of the sky and the rich cultural heritage of AlUla, concluded this week after an incredible two weeks of activity. From April 26th to May 13th, the festival transformed the skies of AlUla into a vibrant canvas of adventure, stargazing, and mesmerizing adventure for visitors from around the world.

Aerial adventurers soared above AlUla’s breathtaking landscapes, taking hot air balloon rides that offered stunning panoramic views of the region’s unique rock formations, desert vistas, and ancient heritage sites. Thrilling hot air balloon rides and helicopter tours provided adrenaline-pumping experiences, allowing visitors to witness the beauty of AlUla from exhilarating heights.

During the festival visitors enjoyed a spectacular glow show, where the hot air balloons illuminated the majestic Maraya, the world’s largest mirrored building.

Stargazing sessions and astrophotography workshops offered participants a chance to explore the cosmos under AlUla’s pristine skies. Guided by astronomy experts, attendees marveled at the constellations, planets, and celestial phenomena. Whilst drone shows also lit up the skies for synchronized formations and illuminated displays created stunning visuals across AlUla. Elsewhere the festival’s outdoor cinema screenings provided a unique cinematic experience under the starry AlUla skies.
